To submit a visa application, you must provide at least the following :
– a travel document (original + copy) in good condition, issued less than 10 years ago, with at least two blank pages, which is valid for at least three months on the date on which the requested visa expires.
– 2 recent ID pictures in ISO/IECI format (.PDF)
– The supporting documents (originals and copy) depending on your situation and your plan to learn French in France.
– Your application fees are due upon filing.

Important: Please note that in order to apply for a student visa, it is generally required you book an Intensive French language course of minimum 20h/week, but in a few countries a Semi-intensive French course of 15h/week is accepted. Student Visa for France – Long Stay Visa

Your student visa for France:
– For a training course not exceeding three months, you will be issued a a short-stay visa,
– For a training course of + three months or six months, you will be issued a temporary long-stay visa, which will require no further formalities on your arrival in France,
– For a training or a course of more than six months, you will be issued a long-stay visa, equivalent to a residence permit, which will be subject to further formalities on your arrival in France.

Since April 17th 2021, international students can apply for an online visa on France-Visas, the official visa website for France. Important: this service is accessible to students applying for a long stay visa and who live in a country where the visa application is available online.

The France-Visas application offers a new service to international students by allowing to submit digital copies of their supporting documents for an online visa application. This service helps accelerate the transfer to the outsourced service provider.
Beware of fraudulent sites: Visa applicants are advised to be cautious in all dealings with companies that claim to offer assistance in obtaining French visas.

Since the creation of ACCORD School, the “sorties pédagogiques” (Lessons outside the classroom – Walking in Paris lessons) have been an important part of the school syllabus as they complement the French lessons students follow in the classroom.
At ACCORD Paris, we follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for teaching and assessing French as a foreign language, and we place our students in groups based on the levels defined by this framework.

Our teaching method includes taking into account the language needs and learning strategies of each student.
Our main aim is to recreate real-life situations where you will be able to put your French to practical use and develop your learning strategies, enabling you to use the communication skills you already have in your native language when speaking French.

Our ultimate goal is to help you reach a level of fluency where you will be able to communicate efficiently and effectively in French. To achieve this you will need both a strong command of the language and an in-depth understanding of French culture.

This is why “sorties pédagogiques” (Lessons outside the classroom – Walking in Paris lessons), which are an integral part of the course you book, are regularly organised so that students are placed in an authentic environment, enabling them to practice what they have learnt in the classroom whilst exploring Paris and its culture, as well as getting a better understanding of living in Paris.
For example, if you book our morning course “A” (20 hours per week), you may spend one of the morning lessons in a “sortie pédagogique”.

They are organised to support the programmes taught in class and are an integral element of the school’s teaching method as it encourages students to practice outside a standard classroom environment.

Beyond studying French in a classroom, the lessons outside the classroom give students the opportunity to exchange and practice in a real-life context. These Walking in Paris lessons prepared by our teachers encourage oral communication and a direct contact within the social and cultural Parisian environment. They contribute and support the process of learning and improving our students’ French language skills by encouraging them to better understand the French and their daily life. These lessons outside the classroom are also an opportunity for our students to explore and understand the Parisian environment, as well as question, compare and stimulate their curiosity as they are invited to enquire, speak and listen.

Oral communication is a priority in our pedagogy, and this is why we don’t use traditional books/methods: learning to listen, understand, speak and express yourself naturally and appropriately, with fluency and correct pronunciation and intonation.

What is a “sortie pédagogique”?
A “sortie pédagogique” (Lessons outside the classroom – Walking in Paris lessons) consists of a visit accompanied by our French teachers of specific areas or sites of Paris, for example,
– The Passsages Couverts Parisiens
– La rue Montorgueil and French Gastronomy
– The Jardin du Palais Royal and the Comédie Francaise
– The Cimetière du Père Lachaise
– The Musée Carnavalet,
– Montmartre and its secrets, etc.

– the all year round school is located near the famous Eiffel Tower, just a few minutes’ walk from the Champs de Mars, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Invalides, the Seine river, and opposite the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro and its famous gardens and fountains,
– the summer school opens in July and August and takes place at our ACCORD Saint Nicolas campus located in southern Paris.
