Intensive academic year French course
This French language program focus on developing oral and written expression and comprehension skills and prepare for the TCF, DELF and DALF exams. This Intensive academic year French course is open to all levels of French, from complete beginner to advanced. Completely beginner students must respect a course entry schedule (a date at the start of the month – full schedule to download) but for all other levels from false beginner, it is possible to start a course any Monday of the year.
The Intensive academic year French course is focused on developing oral and written expression and comprehension skills. The objective of the course is to allow students to become autonomous in the use of French, which requires the acquisition of grammar, vocabulary, and good practice in oral communication to fully understand… and above all, to make yourself understood clearly when you express yourself in French.
The French language course offers learning and improvement of French using authentic educational materials: press articles, advertisements, extracts from literary or specialized works, songs, videos, etc. The course also include educational outings (“sorties pédagogiques”) which are part of the curriculum of these courses and allow students to practice their French in real situations outside the classroom, in the Parisian everyday life. To progress consistently, students must be diligent and participate regularly and actively in classes.
The course is aimed at all international students, whatever their level of initial French, who wish to acquire and perfect their skills in spoken and written French to prepare for the TCF, DELF and DALF exams and thus integrate a university or a higher business school.
For students wishing to take the DALF or the DELF exam, the course includes exam preparation lessons, with two afternoon classes per week focused on DELF and DALF exam preparation.
Depending on the students’ objectives and their initial level of French, this Intensive academic year French course can thus include an intensive French course of 20 to 35 hours per week, and a DALF or DELF preparation course of 4 or 8 weeks.
