For our ACCORD students: our selection of free festivals in Paris

You’ve paid for your flight or train tickets to get to Paris, your metro or bus tickets to get around Paris, your French language course at ACCORD French Language School in Paris (worth every penny!), your accommodation in Paris, your meals in Paris, your shopping in Paris… isn’t it time you gave your bank card a break?

Believe it or not, despite being a famously pricey place to visit, Paris actually puts on a whole host of festivals and events for locals, students and tourists to enjoy without spending a single Euro or for next to nothing!
We’ve put together a list of our top picks so you can watch the hottest musicians on the scene at Paris City Hall, cult classics at the Louvre, performances in venues across the French capital and vibe to Verdi in the verdant city park (see what we did there?).

Keep your smartphones to hand because you’re in for some real Insta-worthy shots that will make your followers go green with envy! Make sure you use the hashtag #accordparis so we can share your pics.

Cinéma Paradiso Louvre

The 2025 edition will take place around four festive evenings in the majestic Cour Carrée of the museum, under the starry sky of Paris. Echoing the event exhibition “Louvre Couture, Objects of Art, Objects of Fashion”, the 5th edition of Cinéma Paradiso Louvre celebrates the links between cinema and fashion with a selection of rare gems and great classics to rediscover: Sofia Coppola opens the ball with Virgin Suicides, followed by In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai, while Friday will be devoted to a tribute to David Lynch with Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
The festival will close in style with an exceptional preview of The Secret Agent by Kleber Mendonça Filho, in the presence of the filmmaker. Just awarded at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival (Director Prize and Best Actor Prize for Wagner Moura), the film is co-produced and distributed internationally by mk2.
