ACCORD Paris is an exam centre for the following French Certificates and French Exams: TCF, TCF RF, TCF ANF, TCF Quebec and TEF Canada.

ACCORD is also the exam centre for the ‘Diplôme de langue et culture françaises’.

At ACCORD you can select any of our intensive or semi-intensive courses to prepare these exams.

At ACCORD it’s very easy to register for one of these French Certificates and French Exams (TCF, TCF RF, TCF ANF, TCF Quebec and TEF Canada):

  • Fill in the booking form proposed hereunder of the selected exam and send it back by email
  • At reception of your booking form (duly completed), we send you by email a secure payment link. Please always check your Spam box as some email providers consider links in an email as a possible Spam!
  • At reception of your payment a booking confirmation will be sent by email and one week before the date of the exam you will receive by post your “convocation officielle” (official notification to attend the exam) which you will have to bring with you together with your passport the date of the exam. On that document you will be informed of the exam timetable.

    If you want to register at the school or if you come to the school to ask for information about the exams, please note that the Exam office is open: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, from 14:30 to 17:00.
    If you want to call the school to get more information about the exams, please note that the Exam office will answer your phone call on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, between 14:30 and 17:00.
    Please note that outside these times and days, the ACCORD staff in the reception area will not be able to answer your questions or welcome you to arrange a booking to one of the exams.

TCF Tout Public (pour l’université) – sur ordinateur

The TCF is an exam organised by the CIEP (Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques). The TCF confirms the level you have reached at the time you take the exam, this is why the certificate is only valid for two years.

The aim of the TCF is to evaluate the ability of a candidate to use French for general purposes in social, holiday, professional or academic situations.

Made up of 3 compulsory tests (1h45) and 2 optional ones – oral test (15 mins) and written test (1h45) -, it follows the levels of competence set by the Common European Framework of Reference.

Depending on the grades you obtain at this exam, you have direct access to the DELF 2ème degré or the DALF

TCF ANF (TCF for French nationality)

From January 1st 2012, individuals applying for French citizenship must have an official proof of their level of spoken French being equal to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Applicants with DELF B1 or B2 or DALF C1 or C2 do not need to take this test.

Those with a general TCF who have taken the oral expression test and achieved level B1 or higher in both the oral comprehension and oral expression tests do not have to take the TCF ANF.

TCF RF (carte de résidence en France) – sur ordinateur

From February 21st 2018, individuals applying for a “carte de resident” must have an official proof of their level of spoken French being equal to A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Applicants with DELF A2, B1 or B2 or DALF C1 or C2 do not need to take this test. Neither do those with a general TCF who have taken both written and oral expression tests.

TCF Quebec

For a visa application to Quebec, the Ministry of Immigration and the Cultural Communities of Quebec requires the TCF Quebec.

For this test, candidates are tested on their oral comprehension and expression only. A certificate showing the results is issued and is valid for one year in case of visa application.

TEF Canada

The TEF Canada (Test d’Evaluation du Français pour le Canada) has been designed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI) of Quebec for all economic immigration programs which require proof of language proficiency.

The TEF Canada test is also considered an acceptable language proof to apply for Canadian citizenship.

The TEF Canada assesses your oral and written skills in French:

  • Oral comprehension: 40 minutes (60 questions)
  • Written comprehension: 60 minutes (50 questions)
  • Oral expression: 15 minutes (2 subjects)
  • Written expression: 60 minutes (2 subjects)

DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française)

The DELF is a state diploma awarded by the French Ministry of National Education.

The 6 DELF units also assist non-French speakers in the process of learning French. This diploma corresponds to approximately 600 hours of language training, approx. 100 hours per unit. It follows the levels of competence set by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).

ACCORD French Language School is an exam preparation centre for the DELF exam. All the ACCORD French Intensive courses prepare you for this exam but ACCORD also offer a DELF preparation course as well as DELF preparation lessons focused on the preparation of this exam.

DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)

The DALF is a state diploma awarded by the French Ministry of National Education.

Not only does it assess the command of linguistic, communicative and methodological skills but it also assesses the student’s capability to efficiently attend a French speaking university. Passing the DALF means you do not need to take the language tests required to gain access to French universities.

This diploma is made up of 4 credits, 2 of them in the field selected by the candidate.

ACCORD French Language School is an exam preparation centre for the DALF exam. All the ACCORD French Intensive courses prepare you for this exam and ACCORD also offers a DALF preparation course as well as DALF preparation lessons focused on the preparation of this exam.

“Diplôme de langue et culture françaises”

At the end of their course, ACCORD students can take the exam to get the official ‘Diplôme de Langue et Culture Françaises’ recognised by the Académie de Paris, for just a 50 euro fee.

Students who don’t follow a course at ACCORD can also take this exam for a 100 euro fee.
