In addition to your French language courses, ACCORD Language School’s partners (the CIJP, Erasmus Place and a few others) offer a cultural program. It will give you a better understanding and appreciation of French culture. It will also make sure you have an unforgettable experience whilst you study French at ACCORD Paris. You will enjoy Paris even more as you are progressing in French!

Their programme varies with the seasons and the Parisian cultural events held throughout the year.

Enjoy Paris, the French capital

There are many activities available, including concerts, theatres, etc. The programmes offered by the CIJP and Erasmus Place are displayed at the ACCORD Tour Eiffel school. Just check them out whilst you’re staying with us.

And also, don’t forget to talk to your classmates. They will also have ideas of what they want to do after class, maybe have a café or a croque-monsieur in a typical French bistrot, or go to a jazz club rue des Lombards. We are sure they’ll want you to go with them!

Or you may want them to go with you to visit Montmartre and see your caricature drawn Place du Tertre.

ACCORD also has a tourist information area with flyers, leaflets and brochures from museums, etc.

ACCORD French Culture and Civilisation lessons

With ACCORD, there is also another way to discover Paris and its culture and civilisation by enrolling in our French Culture and Civilisation lessons (every Monday and Friday afternoon).

If you are interested in these lessons, simply talk to your teachers or our Head of Studies to find out about these dedicated lessons.

Enjoy Paris, the French capital, in discovering its historical and picturesque areas organised within Accord’s Parisian Culture and Civilisation workshop.

You may visit areas such as Le Marais, Montmartre, the Quartier Latin, the Père-Lachaise cemetery, Ile de la Cité, Montparnasse, etc. with your teacher.

The programme for these lessons is available at the Head of Studies office, so you can find out beforehand what you are going to learn during those afternoons.

The French Culture and Civilisation lessons are open to all levels, from complete beginner to advanced.

Enjoy PARIS, the City of Lights!

By coming to ACCORD Language School to attend your French language course, you also have a great opportunity to explore Paris and all its famous attractions and sites as well as enjoying the lifestyle.

Famous for its rich history, beautiful architecture and cultural diversity, Paris remains one of the most visited cities in the world. Paris has always been a hive of artistic and intellectual activity with its 134 museums, 170 theatres, world famous universities and cultural festivals, which take place all year round.

Of course, Paris is also the capital of fashion and design and is internationally renowned for its boutiques, department stores and young designers.

Paris is divided in “arrondissements” and each arrondissement has its own monuments and places worth visiting. There are 5431 streets across the city, each one with a story of its own, relating to the history of France, its artists, scientists and saints.

As surprising as it may be, it is possible to walk to most of Paris’s sites. It won’t take you more than a few hours to walk from the Bastille area to the Eiffel Tower. If you don’t feel like walking, public transport in Paris is second to none.

The Left Bank and the Latin Quarter is the heart of the city for the young Parisians. Don’t miss out on other fascinating areas such as Bastille, Montmartre, Pigalle, the Champs Elysées and the Ile de la Cité.
