What is ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school?
ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school is an accredited “Qualité FLE” summer school located in southern Paris where we offer French language courses for children aged 6 to 11 and teenagers aged 12 to 17.
Where is the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school located?
The ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school is located 19 Rue Victor Hugo, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux. Subway station is “Corentin Celton” on the Parisian metro line 12.
Are the ACCORD French courses accredited by any French official authority?
ACCORD is registered as a Private Institute of Higher Education (n°588) at the Academy of Paris – Ministry of Higher Education. It is a guarantee of the quality of ACCORD Paris. The major, official French school accreditation is “Qualité FLE”. In 2007, ACCORD Paris was one of the first schools in France to have been awarded the “Qualité FLE”, the official French accreditation which guarantees the quality of teaching French as a foreign language, premises and services provided (administration, enrolment, accommodation, etc.).
Where do your courses take place?
French lessons take place at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school located 19 Rue Victor Hugo, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux. Subway station is “Corentin Celton” on the Parisian metro line 12.
What is the minimum level of French required to attend a course?
We accept kids and teens of any level of French in our summer French courses for juniors, from complete beginner to advanced.
Can I book for one week only at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school?
Yes, you can book for one week only as well as for 6 weeks, the maximum length of our summer courses for kids and teens.
Who attends your courses at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school?
Children and teenagers from over 25 different countries.
How do children benefit from a course at the ACCORD summer school?
In addition to learning and improving their French, children and teens have a great time at the ACCORD summer school and develop socially. They meet and make friends with children and teenagers from different countries and cultures. This helps them to broaden their horizons, develop an understanding of others and further practise their French. We expect children and teens to return home happy with their stay in Paris and return to their French courses with renewed enthusiasm and determination.
My child is very happy with the first week course at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school. Can I book a few more weeks for him/her?
Yes, of course. You can decide to add one or more weeks (maximum 6 weeks). Parents just have to meet the ACCORD staff at the Reception-Registration office at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school to arrange the stay of their child.
My child is very happy with the French course but I would like him/her to participate to the afternoon activities’ program proposed at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school. Is it possible?
Yes, that’s not a problem. Your child can join the “Day student program” at any moment of his/her stay. Parents just have to meet the ACCORD staff at the Reception-Registration office at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school to book a “Day student” for their child.
What is the best time to book a summer French language course?
The best time to book a French language course is… as soon as possible, but we accept last minute bookings (Friday for following Monday) and if parents don’t have time to book on line, there’s no problem for them to come direct to the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school on Monday (if possible at 8:00 am – no appointment necessary) to arrange the enrolment.
I booked a French course for my child. At what time should he/she be at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school on the first Monday?
On the first Monday morning, please bring your child to the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school for 8:00 for the welcome speech by our Pedagogical Coordinator and to be tested (oral and written test) so that your child can be placed in a class of his/her level as soon as possible.
If you arrive on Monday morning to book a course for your child, you will stay with the ACCORD Booking staff to arrange the booking and pay the tuition fees, whilst your child will be tested and then enter a class of his/her level.
Do parents have to pay registration fees?
At ACCORD there are no hidden fees and parents have no registration fee to pay.
What is the maximum number of students per class?
We guarantee a maximum of 15 students (average 12) in our summer courses and a maximum of 6 in the Writing/Grammar additional lessons.
What material will I need to buy for my child to attend the course?
At the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school there’s no hidden fee as all the teaching material given by the school is included in the tuition fees. You will have no course book or other teaching material to buy!
Which books do the ACCORD teachers use in their classes?
The ACCORD teachers don’t use course books. They are a team of teachers experienced in teaching young learners and they are all involved in creating their own teaching material and constantly updating ACCORD’s teaching method.
Is there a minimum and maximum age?
At the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school, our courses for kids are open to children from 6 to 12, and our courses for teens are open to juniors from 12 to 17 years old.
How long is a class?
All our courses are indicated in two ways: in hours (one hour = 60 minutes) and in lessons (one lesson = 45 minutes) enabling you to compare our courses with those from other schools which mainly show in lessons only.
Is it possible to book a French course only?
Yes, of course you can book a French course only, especially if the parents have booked their own accommodation for the family, for example at the ADAGIO Porte de Versailles residence or in a hotel in Paris near the ACCORD summer school.
We are a school, a group of friends who would like to book a French course at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school. Could we benefit from a special discount?
Depending on the number of students coming as a group, you might be able to benefit from a special rate. Please contact us direct for further information.
Do the students have free use of internet at the ACCORD Saint Nicolas summer school?
Yes, there is a free WIFI connection at the summer school in all the common areas.
Will my child receive a certificate or a diploma at the end of the course?
At the end of the course, your child will be given a “Course Certificate” stating the number of hours of attendance, his/her initial level and the level he/she has reached.
