the Branly Museum , at the crossorads of civilization |

In the heart of Paris, the finest arts of the entire world finally have their meeting place on the bank of the Seine and just a few meters from the Eiffel tower. Latest cultural jewel of Paris, the Quai Branly Museum fancies itself as a bridge between cultures, a new institution serving to foster dialogue between civilizations.
Somewhere between a museum and a center of research, university campus and familiar hang-out, this ultra modern museum hosts more than 3000 original pieces from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. The museum rests in a green haven planted with nearly 200 trees and landscaped with little hills and streams. The flora is impressive, even covering one of the museum’s walls with over 150 different species

The museum at a glance
In the four buildings that make up the museum more than 3500 pieces are on display drawn from a collection of over 300,000 objects. The museum’s 800 square meter vegetal wall, like a vertical garden, exhibits 150 different species and links the buildings to the 2 hectare park. Since its inauguration in June 2006, the museum has already hosted over a million visitors.
