Assessment - Certificates


  • Before arrival: ACCORD staff members will help you choose your course and accommodation. You can begin your French course in France any Monday (except for beginners or on bank holidays).
  • The right course for you: ACCORD ensures that the course is perfect for the students based on his/her needs and requirements.
  • On arrival: On the first day of your stay at ACCORD, you will take a written and oral test in order to assess your level of French. An interview with an examiner ensures that your needs are addressed and that you get the best possible information regarding your course.
  • During your stay: Throughout your stay, you are welcome to discuss your progress with the Director of Studies and/or assistants. Depending on your progress and based on the teachers’ assessment of your level, you may be moved to a higher level during your course.
  • On departure: On your final day at ACCORD, you will be given a certificate stating the number of hours of attendance. If you so wish, you may also receive an assessment certificate including a detailed analysis of your progress and your competence in the language.

French Examinations and Diplomas


ACCORD School is an exam preparation centre for the DELF and DALF exam. To register for the DELF and DALF exams, you have to contact Alliance Française, the official exam centre for the DELF and DALF.

ACCORD French Language School can prepare you to take the following French exams:

TCF: Test de Connaissance du Français
The TCF is an official exam that allows you to either take the DELF or DALF depending on your grade at the exam. All our intensive courses will prepare you sufficiently for this exam which does not require any specific language training.
Accord Language School is an examination centre for the TCF.



The TCF pour le Quebec:
Quebec’s Ministry of Education and Cultural Communities require the TCF pour le Quebec (an adaptation of the TCF) for a visa application to Quebec. In this test, candidates are examined on their oral comprehension and expression only. Candidates receive a certificate stating their results which is valid for one year in case of visa application.
ACCORD Language School is an examination centre for the TCF.

TCF (compulsory subjects only) 85 euros
Full TCF (compulsory subjects + optional tests) 190 euros
Optional test: Written exam 55 euros
Optional test: Oral exam 75 euros
TCF Nationalité Française / TCF Québec 100 euros

TCF ANF ( accès à la nationalité française)
From January 1st 2012, individuals applying for French citizenship must have proof of their level of spoken French being equal to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Applicants with DELF B1 or B2 or DALF C1 or C2 do not need to take this test.
Those with a general TCF certificate who have taken the oral expression test and achieved level B1 or higher in both the oral comprehension and oral expression tests do not have to take the TCF ANF - accès à la nationalité française test.
ACCORD is an official exam centre for the TCF ANF - accès à la nationalité française.



TEF: Test d’Evaluation du Français
The Test d’Evaluation du Français is awarded by the CCIP (Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris/Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry). This certificate is valid for one year from the date of the exam. It is a reliable assessment of the candidate’s knowledge of French.
ACCORD Language School is an examination centre for the TEF.


The TEFaQ:
Test d’Evaluation du Français adapté au Québec New!
Quebec’s Ministry of Education and Cultural Communities require the TCFaQ or the TEFaQ for a visa application to Quebec. D.E.L.F.: (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française).
Taking our intensive course will prepare you sufficiently for this exam which requires no specific training.
The DELF is an official diploma from the French Ministry for Education.


  • Exam Fees: A1 : 145€, A2: 150€, B1 : 180€, B2 : 230€, C1 : 230€, C2 : 230€
  • Dates 2012

D.A.L.F. (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française).
Students with this diploma do not need to take any language exams for university entrance. The DALF is an official diploma from the French Ministry of Education.
